What if you could just nod to pay for anything? On February 26th 2014 at the Wearable Wednesday event in Barcelona, Dutch start-up EAZE introduced a new service called “Nod To Pay”, a Bitcoin enabled wallet that works on Google Glass. The service demonstrates how frictionless payments work when the right technologies are combined. Since May 16th at the Bitcoin 2014 Conference in Amsterdam, EAZE released the public beta of their innovative Google Glass payment App; “Nod To Pay”. Major Bitcoin payment providers, Blockchain.info and Coinbase, are now available on Google Glass with the release of “Nod To Pay”.

Today, at Bitcoin 2014 in Amsterdam, EAZE released the public beta of their innovative Google Glass payment App; “Nod To Pay”. Glass users can now download “Nod To Pay”, install it on their Glass and use it to make bitcoin payments with their favourite existing bitcoin wallets.
As from today “Nod To Pay” supports both wallets from Blockchain.info and Coinbase, with more wallets on the way. Both Blockchain.info and Coinbase are leading bitcoin wallet providers covering more than three million wallets worldwide.
After installing the Glassware, users of EAZE can link their existing bitcoin wallets to their Google Glass by simply scanning a QR code. Paying with “Nod To Pay” is truly frictionless. A Google Glass user activates the service with the command “OK Glass, make a payment”. Glass then scans the QR code of any Bitcoin enabled phone or Point Of Sales (POS) application like Bitpay. The transaction details appear on the display of Glass. The user then only needs to nod twice to confirm the payment, making it a truly handsfree payment solution.
Rutger van Zuidam, cofounder: “We are proud to be the first to bring a global payment solution to Google Glass. After our announcement of Nod To Pay in February we worked hard to make our product available to the public. With the integration of Coinbase and Blockchain.info we have also answered to the request of the market by building not yet another wallet but by making existing wallets available on Glass.”
Raimo van der Klein, co-founder: “Payments in the future are a combination of software, wearables and gestures. Technology now enables us to create completely new ways to pay. We don’t need debet or credit cards to authenticate. Wearables like bracelets, rings and Google Glass can identify us. Authorizing a payment can also be done with simple gestures. With EAZE, we are developing these new ways to pay using cutting-edge technology. “Nod To Pay” is our first service and many others will follow.”
